Employment Application


We are seeking individuals who have a strong knowledge of swimming safety skills to oversee activities in our indoor and outdoor pools. Qualified candidates must be American Red Cross Certified, and must have leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Hours & Pay: 

· Available to work all year: 

o Summer commitment is 30-35 hours per week. 

o School Year commitment is 5-10 hours, Monday-Friday between 7am-12pm & After 3pm. 

· Shifts will be anywhere between 6am-9pm, Monday-Friday. 

· 7am-8pm Saturday and Sunday. 

· Pay range begins at $14 per hour, depending on experience.

We are hiring for a Recreation Leader for our Kids Klub After School Program located at Barbara Rose School in South Barrington.  Our program provides a safe and entertaining environment which includes a quiet homework area, arts and crafts, thematic activities, and recreational activities on the playground or in the gym.


Our staff plans and coordinates activities for children enrolled in youth programs. They also promote and ensure safety for all participants.

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for daily cleaning and janitorial functions of all Men’s Locker Rooms and Bathrooms, park district facilities, equipment, and properties.  Must be available to work weekends only from 7am to 3pm.



  • Shift is Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 3pm.

  • Pay starts at $14, depending on experience.

Including, but not limited to, knowledge of cleaning and sanitation systems for carpet, tile, bathroom facilities and general office space. The housekeeping staff must:

  • Work in the Men’s Locker Rooms and Bathrooms.

  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions.

  • Work harmoniously with others.

  • Work with minimum supervision.

  • Produce accurate work on a timely basis.

  • Perform required duties with initiative, good judgement, accuracy, persistence, integrity, tact, and courtesy.



  • Maintain all floor surfaces for the district.

  • Responsible for the proper sanitation of all areas of the building including men’s bathrooms, men’s locker rooms, offices, common areas, etc.

  • Perform skilled, unskilled, and semi-skilled labor in connection with the cleaning in parks, facilities, roads, structures, and facilities.

  • Understand, document, and follow safe work practices in performance of duties.

  • Help maintain custodial supply and inventory in the most cost-efficient way.

  • Ability to function independently of constant supervision.

  • Assist other departments in set-up and take down of classes and special events.

  • Performs other minor maintenance tasks in support of recreation programs and activities as directed. (i.e., changing light bulbs, shoveling snow, spreading salt, etc.)

  • Ability to make minor building repairs and report any other repairs needed in facilities including outdoor facilities which would assure the safety of park facility users.

  • Function as liaison between Park District and public whenever required.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
