South Barrington Park District Data Privacy Policy for the South Barrington Club App.
Section 1. Privacy Policy Purpose
The privacy policy explains how the South Barrington Park District collects, uses, and protects information shared by South Barrington Club app users.
Section 2. Information Collected
The user name or e-mail address used by patrons to access the South Barrington Club app may contain personal information such as the user’s real name or other personally identifiable information and, as a result, such patron personal information may appear on the South Barrington Club app. Like many apps, the Park District may also automatically receive general information about a user that is contained in the app’s server log files.
The name of a South Barrington Clubb app user, when linked with another identifier such as an address, telephone number, payment information, or other personally identifying information, is considered “Private Information” for purposes of this policy.
The South Barrington Park District may collect the following private information of South Barrington Club app users:
A. Name and phone number;
B. Contact information, including email address;
C. Demographic information, such as zip code, preferences, and interests;
D. Other information relevant to surveys and/or offers; and
E. A small file, called a cookie, may be placed on the user’s device to customize operations, and enhance the user’s experience. The cookie helps analyze app traffic and stores a user’s preferences.
Section 3. Use of Information
The South Barrington Park District solicits some personally identifiable information to permit South Barrington Club app users to register for programs and activities organized by the Park District. Likewise, if a user sends the Park District a message within the app with questions or comments about Park District programs or services, the user’s app username and any other information that the user volunteers is collected.
The South Barrington Park District also solicits information to better understand the needs of South Barrington Club App users and to provide better service. Except where consent is given or implied, the information which is automatically collected by the app to customize operations and enhance the user experience is not stored or used in connection with personally identifiable information.

C. The Park District may send promotional e-mails about the following:
a. New programs
b. Special Park District offers
c. Offers from Park District sponsors or partners.

E. The South Barrington Park District may utilize user information gathered from the app to customize E-newsletters, electronic alerts, or other notifications of interest to users.
F. The South Barrington Park District will not provide an app users’ information to third party partners for marketing or promotional purposes.

The South Barrington Park District will never sell, distribute, or lease app users’ information to third parties, or publicly disclosure a user’s personal information, unless permission has been granted or required by law. Provided however, that an app user’s information may be provided to local, state, or federal law enforcement agencies and personnel in response to a subpoena or other law enforcement request for such information.
H. Analytical Purposes. The Park District uses cookies to analyze user activity to gain important insights about how to improve the functionality and user experience of the South Barrington Club app.
I. Your Preferences & User Experience. The Park District also uses cookies to gather information about users, including but not limited to information such as phone number, cell service provider, and language preference to store user preferences in our app to make the user experience more consistent and convenient.

What is Platform Tennis?
Platform Tennis, also known as “paddle”, is the only racquet sport that players can enjoy outdoors in any climate. Paddle is an easy sport for players of all ages and skill levels to learn and enjoy. It is an excellent sport for families to play together. This fun social game is primarily played in cool or cold weather, during the day or night and has become a year-round sport in some regions.
Facilities
The South Barrington Club Platform Tennis Facility is a year-round facility featuring: Brand new paddle hut • Four heated platform tennis courts with LED lights • 80 person max capacity • 3 Flat Screen TV’s • Gas Fireplace • Full-Service Bar.
Paddle Hut Rental
Plan your next party at the SBC Paddle Hut! Take advantage of our spacious hut for your next company outing, holiday party, paddle party or birthday celebration. Whether you already know how to play, or want to learn, here’s a great opportunity to experience a sport adults and juniors can enjoy for a lifetime. Professional instruction is available for an additional fee. For more information about reserving the paddle hut, please call Debbie at (847) 381-7515.
Court Reservations
Contact the front desk at 847-381-2570 to reserve courts. The courts are available between 6am and 10pm Monday-Friday and
8am-9pm Saturday and Sunday. Members are allowed to make court reservations 7 days in advance (limit one court reservation per day for a maximum of 2 hours).
SBC Platform Tennis Program
The SBC Platform Tennis Program offers flexible opportunities to get you on the courts in lessons or league play. The Platform Tennis membership runs from August 1 thru July 31. In order to play in the league, you need to be a paddle or full member and pay the league/food/beverage fee. We offer a wide range of instructional programs and social events that meet all levels and interests of play, ranging from competitive to casual. Paddles, balls, gloves and shoes are available for purchase in the pro shop. We are looking forward to a great Fall and Winter season!
Events
We offer a wide range of events throughout the season from social to competitive. The calendar of events includes Pre-Season Camps, Professional Exhibitions, Men’s Handicap Tournaments, Crosstown Moneyball Tournament, Men’s Club Championships and Adult Social Mixers.

Private Lessons Regardless of your level, if you want to learn the game, improve upon your existing level, just fine-tune certain aspects of your strokes or strategy, or simply have fun while getting a great workout, we will help you achieve your goals. We offer private, semi-private, 3-on-1
and 4-on-1 lessons. Cancellation of private lessons must be made at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise, the full lesson rate will be charged.

Men's Platform
Men's Platform
The SBC Men’s Platform Tennis Program is planning to have 8 teams competing in the CPTC league this season. The regular-season league matches start on Tuesday, October 6 and end on Thursday, February 25. The quarterfinals of the playoffs are Tuesday-Thursday, March 9-11, the semifinals are Monday, March 15 and the finals are Wednesday, March 17. The matches are played on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights from 7:00-10:00pm. The drills are offered on Saturdays from 9:00-10:30am and 10:30am-12:00pm starting September 19. Men’s Intro to Paddle
This class is for beginners with little or no knowledge of platform tennis and want to learn the game. The drills will focus on court positioning, technique, screen play, communication, scoring, rules of the game and match play. This program is a fun and exciting way to learn the game and get ready to play on a team. The drills are offered on Mondays from 6pm-7pm starting September 14.

Men’s In-House Leagues
We are offering In-House Leagues in the Spring & Summer. The spring league will run in April-May and the summer league in
June-July. The matches are played on Thursday nights at 7pm & 8pm. The leagues are open to beginner, intermediate and advanced players.

Women's Platform
Women’s Platform
The SBC Women’s Platform Tennis Program is planning to join the NSWPTL league for the 2020-21 season. The league begins early October and ends mid March. Series 1-7 play their matches on Thursdays from 9am-12pm and Series 8-12 play on Thursdays from
12pm-3pm. Series 13-16 play on Fridays from 9am-12pm. If you are interested in playing on a team this season, please contact Steve Brown

High School Paddle (14-18 Years Old)
The drills will focus on all aspects of platform tennis.
The players will enjoy fast-paced drills emphasizing match strategy, positioning, screens, targets and shot selection.
