Trainer On Duty

The South Barrington Club now offers scheduled Trainer On Duty hours.  Stop by the fitness office and ask the trainer any questions you have regarding equipment, exercises, or nutrition.  Current Trainer On Duty Hours are listed below.  Watch for more hours to be added to the schedule soon!

Mondays:  7:00am-8:00am
Wednesdays:  7:00am-8:00am
Saturdays:  7:30am-8:00am

 
 
Fitness Programs
Fitness Orientations
All new club members are entitled to a fitness orientation at no charge.  One of our trained fitness professionals will show you how to get started with your workout routine.  Your complimentary orientation must be scheduled during the first eight months of your membership.
Group Personal Training
Would you like to work out with a friend or family member to keep on track?  Partner or small group training sessions are available and very affordable.  Our certified trainers will help educate and motivate you in a comfortable group setting.
Introduction to Personal Training
This program consists of a three session training package with a certified trainer for just $99!  The package will include a fitness evaluation, body fat analysis, and two sessions of personal training to design a custom program for you.  This program is great for new members or anyone looking for professional coaching and advice. 
Triumph Sports Performance Program
Participants will be challenged at a higher level implementing power training, periodization, agility, speed, core strength, and plyometrics to increase their sports performance.  This program is conducted by a certified, licensed athletic trainer and sports medicine specialist.  Attend as an individual or as a small group. 
Power Hour
Take your workout to the next level!  This power packed program is a great group exercise program that will challenge you through a variety of weight training, free weight, band and ball exercises.  Improve your speed, strength, stamina and agility while improving your overall sports performance!   Schedule your appointment with one of our personal trainers! 
Elite Athletic Training
A highly specialized athletic training for adults that emphasizes the client’s athletic abilities. Involves drills, sports, nutrition, plyometrics, speed and agility, power training and periodization. Available by appointment only. Taught by Humberto Medina, certified athletic trainer and competitive Olympic weight lifter.
 
 
Personal Training

Through Personal Training, we can design an individual fitness program that is practical, efficient and safe.  Regardless of your current fitness level, one of our certified personal trainers can help you improve your quality of wellness. 

Staff Trainer Rates:
     1 Hour Session - $49
     10 Hour Sessions - $439
     20 Hour Sessions - $830
     Non Members—per hour - $61

Senior Trainer Rates:
     1 Hour Session - $54 and up
     10 Hour Sessions - $484 and up
     20 Hour Sessions - $899 and up
     Non Members—per hour - $61

Elite Training Rates:
     1 Hour Session - $61
     10 Hour Sessions - $550
     20 Hour Sessions - $1000
     Non Members—per hour - $69

Personal Training Notes:
All training packages expire six months from the date of purchase.
All packages are non-transferable and non-refundable.
All training sessions that are cancelled without at least 24 hours notice will be billed.

Specialty Classes

Belly Dance
Celebrate your feminine spirit with belly dance!  Belly Dance is an ancient art form for women of all shapes, sizes, ages and fitness levels.  Enjoy this moderate workout that strengthens core muscles and improves coordination.
Bootcamp Challenge
Boot Camp challenge course is designed to be a physically intense and challenging fitness class. Training exercises used in this class will include jogging, interval training, obstacle courses, and a variety of calisthenics designed to enhance muscular strength and endurance.  In addition, participants will be challenged to understand and apply fitness training principles.  Participants will train individually, with a partner, or in a team setting.
Dancing Like the Stars
Learn the waltz, foxtrot, rumba, swing and more!  No partner required!
W.O.W.—Women on Weights
Learn the benefits of free weights—for women only!  Our trainer will teach you how to effectively tone each body part.
Yoga—Traditional Pure Hatha Yoga
This class uses stretching, breathing and relaxation to increase self-awareness and promote health.  A great stress reliever for the entire body!
Zumba
This class brings salsa and world dance to the aerobic studio.  This class is part dance and part aerobics to help you improve your stamina and cardiovascular system.

Pilates Studio
Join us for this entire “body and muscle” strengthening and toning class,
based on Joseph Pilates' program developed in the 1940's. His mat work
program is believed to create long slender limbs and tight abs!
 
 
Group Exercise

Stop by the Front Desk for a complete schedule of group exercise classes offered at The South Barrington Club.  We welcome all skill and fitness levels to our classes.  Most classes are multi-level.  We ask that participants adjust the workout to their own level of intensity.  The emphasis is on fat burning, cardio fitness and muscular strength.  The following classes are available to all club members at no additional charge.

Aqua Fit
This low impact workout uses the resistance of the water to burn fat and tone the body. 
A.T.A.C. - Athletic Training And Conditioning
A combination of stations alternating weights, cardio conditioning and strength training.  This is a complete workout!
Cardio Dance
Class will consist of jazz dance, modern dance, barre work and floor combinations.
C.O.R.E.  (Abs, Back and Glutes)
Develop a strong “Core” with isometrics, stability ball and endurance work.
Pilates Matworks Class
Join us for this entire “body and muscle” strengthening and toning class, based on Joseph Pilates’ program developed in the 1940’s.  His mat work program is believed to create long slender limbs and tight abs!
Power Sculpt
This class uses free weights and resistance tubes to tone and build muscle.  Cardio work is not included.
Spinning
This exciting group cycling class gives you the ultimate workout.  Burn up to 600 calories in this 45 minute class!
Step-It-Up
This intermediate level step class is a great class for all fitness levels, working on fat burning and cardio-fitness.  Floor work is included.
Step-N-Pump
This class will alternate between an intermediate level of step and weights for a super pump.  This is a great class for all fitness levels, working on fat burning, cardio fitness and muscle endurance.
Fitness Yoga
This class integrates modified yoga stretches, with traditional athletic stretching.  We also focus on deep breathing techniques.
Yoglates
This class will combine yoga strength and stretching poses with the core, leg and glute work of Pilates. Sculpt your body!
